Map tab before an offline map has been downloaded
Before an offline map is downloaded, a 'Go to Download' prompt appears at the top of the map, and the online basemap is used.
  1. 1Tap here to download offline map

First Launch: Allow Location

  1. Open the App, stay on the 'Map' tab.
  2. Tap the location button on the right side and allow location as prompted by the system.
  3. After successful location, the current position, altitude and accuracy will be displayed. Please wait for the accuracy to stabilize (number becomes smaller) before departing.

Recommended Pre-Departure Process

  1. Go to 'Maps' to download offline maps and 'Enable offline maps' in a place with internet (see Offline Maps).
  2. Open the info panel on the map tab and confirm that all three items in 'Pre-Departure Checklist' are green checkmarks (see Info Panel and Pre-Departure Checklist).
  3. Go to 'Settings → Emergency Contacts and Check-in' to add contacts and set check-in time limit (see Safety and Emergency Features).
  4. Import the GPX route for this trip and confirm whether a mountain entry permit or park entry permit is needed (see Tracks).
  5. Turn off mobile network and test once to confirm the map, route, and location are working properly.

Data Storage and Backup

Tracks, GPX, summit records and photos are saved only on your phone by default and will not be uploaded to the server. Deleting the App may lose this data.

  • For important routes, please use GPX 'Export' to back up yourself, or go to 'Settings → iCloud Sync' to enable iCloud Drive sync.
  • 'Settings → Data Management' can manage recorded tracks, waypoint collections and offline maps. Clearing is irreversible; when tracks are cleared, their photos will also be removed.
