Troubleshooting
Are there no buttons on the map or can't you find the layer button?
The location, layer, and compass buttons appear only when offline maps are enabled; the layer button also requires vector map data. First go to 'Map Data' to download and enable offline maps.
Does the map show 'Location permission has been denied' at the top?
Go to iOS Settings → Aki Map → Location and change it to 'While Using the App' or 'Always', then return to the app and tap the location button.
Why does background track recording stop?
Set Aki Map's location permission to 'Always' and make sure Settings → Track Recording → Background Track Recording is enabled. Forests, ravines, and bad weather can reduce GPS accuracy.
Is the photo button grayed out?
Photography requires positioning first; please tap the location button first, wait for positioning to succeed, then use it. Camera permission is required for the first photo.
Can't find peaks or attractions in search?
Without offline maps enabled, you can only search your own location points; please enable offline map data first. The free version also has a monthly limit on the number of searches.
Unable to print the map?
Printing requires offline maps to be enabled first, and the free version has a monthly usage limit.
Map data download failed?
After confirming stable network and sufficient storage space, tap 'Retry' and the download will resume. You can also visit the offline map download page to check file size and checksum.
GPX import failed?
Please confirm the file is in standard GPX format; the free version also has a monthly limit on imports.
Where is my data stored? What should I do when switching phones?
By default, data is stored locally only. Before switching phones, please enable iCloud sync or export a GPX backup; deleting the app may result in loss of local data.
What should I do in case of emergency?
Please call 119 or 112 directly. The safety features in the app are only for assistance and cannot replace official rescue operations.
